Even though it says pre-shrunk, I am sure it will shrink some more. It is so soft - very high quality product.
I like to use matelasse in the summer, since I have pets and I need to wash my bedding fairly often. My experience with matelasse is that it gets softer and better looking over time - if you like that shabby chic look. I don't see how this one could possibly get softer.
And I like the fact the part of the proceeds go to the Colonial Williamsburg foundation.
I will look for more Colonial Williamsburg products.

This red is not red at all the color is very drab and faded looking. The material is of good quality and feels very good to touch. The delivery was timely. I really needed this or I would have returned it only because ofc the color. I expected a bright red as tomatoes really are.
